In order to promote the resource security and green development of mine life cycle and the linkage development of local economy, geological exploration industry and mining enterprises, the 2nd National Conference on Mine Resources - Environment - Ecological Restoration and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Mining Geology Professional Committee of the Chinese Geological Society was held in Taiyuan on August 29.

At present, under the background of "two mountains" and ecological protection, the green development of mines has changed from a selective question to a mandatory one. The geological work of mines has also changed from "prospecting to increase reserves" to supporting the life-cycle resource security and green development of mines. This conference focuses on the difficulties of the transformation and development of mining enterprises and geological exploration enterprises and institutions, dovetails with major realistic needs, and explores the road to sustainable development of new energy and resource industries.

Second, to achieve intensive development of resources, and focus on building green mines. Intensive development of resources is the key to achieving a harmonious symbiosis between resource extraction and ecological protection, and to cracking the problem of resources, environment and development. In the process of mine resource development, the concept of ecological civilization as a guide to new technologies, new industries, new models as support, scientific and reasonable layout of the resource industry chain, the construction of resource conservation and recycling comprehensive utilization, clean production coordinated mining development system. In the past few years, the non-ferrous industry has made important progress in the construction of green mines, 114 mines in the industry have been rated as national green mines, accounting for 17% of the country, and the successful construction of regional mines has created a new model of intensive use of resources.

Third, we should summarize the experience of ecological restoration of mines and inherit Chinese mining culture. In terms of mining development, an important task of building a beautiful China is the comprehensive implementation of ecological restoration. In this regard, non-ferrous mines have been very effective exploration. Such as Chinalco Guangxi Branch, Fujian Zijin Mining, Jinchuan open-pit mine, etc., mine ecological restoration have made remarkable achievements. On the basis of these successful practices, we should seriously sum up the experience and raise the ecological restoration of mines to the height of inheriting Chinese mining culture.

Fourth, we should actively advise and create a good market environment. The current mining market environment is more severe, according to the characteristics of the industry and the laws of the market, on the basis of a full investigation and research, to the government departments to advise and contribute, and strive to create a good development environment for the mining market. For the difficult and painful issues, we should be good at catching and advising to improve our service capacity and level.

Four thematic agendas were also set for exchange, such as the results of mine and mine catchment area mineral search, typical experience and results of green mine, new technology and methods of mine geology, and results of geological environment and ecological restoration of mine area.
